Acoustic Profiling - What is it?
Acoustic Profiling is our name for something that shouldn't actually be possible: Kemper acoustic guitar profiles that capture the sound of a guitar, the wood used, and the pickup together with the recording microphone. The sound profile, obtained through a special process, can then simply be played anytime via cable and pickup, whether live or in the studio. How Our Kemper Acoustic Guitar Profiles Are Made
What makes this sound so special? Normally, a Kemper Profile captures the sound of an amplifier – with Acoustic Profiling, we apply this principle to acoustic guitars. Instead of simply measuring a generic frequency curve, as many Impulse Responses on the market do, we record a real acoustic guitar with high-quality studio microphones and blend that sound with the signal from the built-in pickup into a single, cohesive profile.
The result is Kemper Acoustic Guitar Profilesthat sound as if a microphone were placed directly in front of your instrument. No feedback risk, no unpredictable stage acoustics – just the full, warm studio sound, available anytime.
This blend of microphone sound and pickup signal isn't a random result, but the outcome of an elaborate process specifically developed for each guitar-pickup combination.
