Custom Acoustic Guitar Profiling
Custom Profiling Acoustic Guitar – your individual Kemper Profile, custom-tailored to exactly your guitar and your pickup.
Why individual?
Every acoustic guitar is different – body, woods, construction, and above all the combination with a specific pickup create a unique sound character. Especially with rarer or non-standard pickup-guitar combinations, there's no ready-made profile that truly fits. Custom Profiling solves exactly this problem: you get a profile that's precisely tailored to your instrument and your pickup – no compromise, no "sounds roughly like," but your own, authentic sound – experienceable both in the studio and live on stage.
Why there can't be a "universal" profile
There are probably tens of thousands of Impulse Responses on the market that measure and analyze the frequency curve of an acoustic guitar. Most of the time, these IRs are used together with downstream EQs to make an electric guitar sound like an acoustic one. On this topic, I keep getting asked: "Can a ready-made profile capture the sound of my own specific guitar?" The honest answer is: no – not exactly, anyway. Every profile is custom-tailored to the combination of guitar body, the woods used, and the specific pickup. This is exactly where Custom Profiling comes in: instead of a profile that sounds "roughly similar," you get a profile that fits your guitar and your pickup precisely – your personal sonic twin.
How it works
1. You get in touch with me and receive detailed, personal recording instructions.
2. You record your guitar following these instructions and send me the files.
3. I create your individual profile from them.
4. You receive your finished profiles directly by email – to listen to before you pay.
Your recording room doesn't need to meet any special requirements – it should just not be too reverberant. Processing typically takes 3–4 days.
What You Get
You receive three individual profiles of your guitar: one Dry (unprocessed), one with effects (FX), and one with a shimmer effect. The microphone you used for the recording is what's featured – for a sound that's truly 100% yours.
Who Custom Profiling is especially worth it for
Custom Profiling is exactly the right choice when your guitar doesn't fit any standard profile: rare or vintage instruments, handcrafted guitars from small or local luthiers, or unusual pickup systems that no manufacturer covers as standard. It's also the right solution for anyone who simply wants to hear their own, truly personal instrument – not just a similar brand. Whether studio recording or live stage: your individual profile sounds exactly the way your guitar really sounds.
Already in use
Many satisfied customers are already using their own personal Custom Profile – from rare vintage guitars to individually built instruments with unusual pickup combinations. Because every single profile is as unique as the instrument it came from.
